UGC invites proposals under the Scheme of PARAMARSH

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on July 31, 2019, invites proposals from institutions on a new Scheme “PARAMARSH” for mentoring National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) accreditation aspirant institutions to promote quality assurance in Higher Education. The main objective of the scheme is to enhance the overall quality of the mentee institutions and Mentoring the Non-Accredited Higher Education Institutions to enable them to get accredited. The Scheme will be operationalized through a Hub and Spoke Model where the mentor Institutions called the “hub” is centralized and will have the responsibility of guiding the mentee institution through the secondary branches, the “spoke” which are the additional services provided to the mentee for self improvement. This allows centralized control over operational efficiency, resource utilization to attain development of the mentee institution.

The proposals are invited from institutions (mentors) in the prescribed format (Page 2) as per the guidelines by August 26, 2019. The applications can be filed online at the UGC website. The hard copy of the filed-in online application along with all the relevant documents should be sent to the Section Officer (IC), Room No. 508A, University Grants Commission, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-110002 on or before August 30, 2019.
