The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on July 25, 2019, notifies the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Re-insurance Advisory Committee) Regulations, 2019. It will come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

The objective of these regulations is to conduct the meetings of Re-Insurance Advisory Committee effectively and to seek advice of the Committee on other reinsurance related matters. The term of office of Members of the Committee may normally be for a period of three years. However, the Chairperson of the Authority, based on the necessity, by recording the reasons, may extend the term for a period not exceeding one year.

These Regulations repeal the IRDAI (Re-insurance Advisory Committee) Regulations, 2001.
