Central Motor Vehicles (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2019

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on July 18, 2019 has published the Central Motor Vehicles (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2019 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. It will come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette that is July 18, 2019.

The amendments are made in Rule 126 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 which talks about “Prototype of every motor vehicle to be subject to test”, after the words “or from Global Automotive Research Centre, Chennai” the following words, brackets shall be inserted, namely, “or the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX), Indore”.
