Draft Rules 2019 for Central Motor Vehicles

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on July 18, 2019 has published a draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2019 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

The amendments made in Table A and B of Rule 115 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 which talks about emission of smoke, vapour, etc. from motor vehicles. Also a new Annexure IV-XA has been inserted specifying the technical specification for reference gasoline fuel (E10).

Any person likely to be affected thereby by the draft, are requested for objections or suggestions, if any, within thirty days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India, are made available to the public.
