West Bengal Government specifies minimum rates of wages in the employment of non-banking private financial institutions

The West Bengal Labour Commissioner specifies the minimum rate of wage in the employment of non-banking private financial institutions in the State of West Bengal, which will be effective for a period from July 01, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

Zone A

Zone B

Unskilled

Rs. 8177.00

Rs. 7176.00

Semi-skilled

Rs. 8996.00

Rs. 7891.00

Skilled

Rs. 9895.00

Rs. 8681.00

Highly Skilled

Rs. 10884.00

Rs. 9551.00

The classification of employees is as follows:

 Unskilled: Office boy, peon, cleaner, sweeper, security guard;

 Semi-skilled: Duftry;

 Skilled: clerk, executive OIC, junior executive, accountant, computer operator;

 Highly Skilled: Manager, senior executive.

The minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance, if any, both constitute the minimum rates of wages and shall be enforceable under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
