The West Bengal Labour Commissioner specifies the minimum rate of wage in the employment of saloons and beauty parlour in the State of West Bengal, which will be effective for a period from July 01, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

Semi-skilled

Highly Skilled

Rs. 10884.00

Rs. 9551.00

The classification of employees is as follows:

 Unskilled: Helper, Cleaner, Sweeper, Assistant, House-keeping staff, security guard;

 Semi-skilled: Front office employee;

 Skilled: Hair cutter, hair Stylist, Skin specialist, Therapist, Beautician;

 Highly Skilled: Hair dresser, spa specialist, dietician.
