The West Bengal Labour Commissioner specifies the minimum rate of wage in the employment of shoe making industry in the State of West Bengal, which will be effective for a period from July 01, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

The classification of employees is as follows:

 Unskilled: Helper, General Workers, Boy and Peon;

 Semi-skilled: Shoe-maker, Heelman, Upperman, Stitcher and Darwans;

 Skilled: Fitter, Machine man and clerks.
