The West Bengal Labour Commissioner specifies the minimum rates of wages in the employment of Agriculture which will be effective for the period from July 01, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

The classification of employees is as follows:

Ø  Unskilled Workers: All types of workers involved in sowing, weeding, harvesting, winnowing, threshing including Munish Mali and helpers on Agricultural field;

Ø  Semi-skilled Workers: Workers involved in ploughing (Langla), transplanting, head mali, supervisor;

Ø  Skilled Workers: Workers involved in power titling, tractor driver and persons handling machines relating to ploughing and other cultivation work.
