The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has sponsored development of linguistics resources for Indian languages at various academic institutions and R&D centers in order to promote the development of IT solutions in Indian languages.

So far, the resources were being made available only to the Indian academic researchers free of cost, it has been decided to provide the resources to various entities at the following rates:

Indian Academic Researchers

10% of cost

International Academic Researchers

10% of cost

Big Companies/MNCs/Foreign Entities

50% of cost

The cost refers to the cost of creation of the resource at the current rates. The resources would be made available through C-DAC which will retain 10% of the cost as facilitation charge. While the resources are being made available to the Indian academic and startups free of cost, they would be required to sign suitable non-disclosure agreement with the facilitating agency that is C-DAC.
