Draft Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and related matters) Regulations, 2018

The Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) on January 05, 2019, has published a Draft called ‘Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and related matters) Regulations, 2018’.

The objective of these regulations is to maintain grid discipline and grid security as envisaged under the Grid Code through the commercial mechanism for Deviation Settlement through drawal and injection of electricity by the users of the grid.

The regulations will apply to the transactions of conveyance of electricity through short- term open access or medium-term open access or long-term open access using intra-State transmission system or distribution system of electricity (including inter-state wheeling of power), subject to certain conditions.

Therefore, the TSERC has invited the suggestions, comments objections from all the interested persons/stakeholders on or before 5.00 PM on January 21, 2019 either in writing or may be sent by email to [email protected].
