Petroleum (Amendment) Rules, 2019

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on May 29, 2019, has published Petroleum (Amendment) Rules, 2019 to further amend the Second Schedule, in Form VIII of Petroleum Rules, 2002, which specifies the Application for the grant/amendment/renewal/transfer of a licence to Transport petroleum Class A/B in bulk on land for fuelling of aircraft, heavy vehicles/machineries and stationery equipment by a mechanically propelled vehicle, viz., Refueller.

The Draft Petroleum (Amendment) Rules, 2018 was issued dated October 05, 2018, for inviting objections or suggestions from all persons likely to be affected within forty five days from October 05, 2018.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas considered the objections and suggestions received from the public on the draft rules and published the Rules that may be called as ‘the Petroleum (Amendment) Rules, 2019’.
