The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on May 16, 2019, has directed all Technical Educational Institutions to come on board with National Academic Depository (NAD) before September 2019. The National Academic Depository has been established to ensure a 24 x7 digital and safe electronic store house of all academic awards viz. certificates, degrees, diplomas, mark sheets etc. It allows the academic institutions or school boards etc. to lodge and upload the academic awards which are authenticated and validated. The NAD consists of two inter-operable digital depositories viz. CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL) and NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML).

The AICTE desires that all approved institutions affiliated to the University or deemed to be University and Standalone PGDM/PGCA Institutes should come on-board with NAD in consultation with their affiliating University wherever required.

The Autonomous or TEQIP institutions having academic autonomy should also come onboard in consultation with their affiliating University with NAD on or before September 2019. The details of NAD are available at www.nad.gov.in.
