Constitution of Internal Complaint Committee and conduct of Gender Sensitization programme

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on May 14, 2019, has issued a letter requesting all the Universities and colleges to constitute an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) as per UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulation, 2105 and a Special Cell in their respective institutions to deal with the issue of gender based violence and to conduct gender sensitization programme.

UGC has also requested to send the annual return on cases of sexual harassment for the period from January 04, 2018 to March 31, 2019, and the details of constitution of ICC to the UGC on email at [email protected] by July 07, 2019. It will enable UGC to compile and furnish the information to the Government of India.
