Ministry of Road Transport and Highways publishes the Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2019

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on May 20, 2019, has published the draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2019 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. It will come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. The amendments are made in Rule 126 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which talks about the “Prototype of every motor vehicle to be subject to test”.

The objections or suggestions are invited from all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India are made available to the public.
