The Medical Council of India (MCI) on May 10, 2019, has mandated online filing of information relating to admissions made in Medical colleges or postgraduate institute for postgraduate medical courses for the Academic year 2019-20. The medical colleges are ordered to monitor that all admissions made in courses of medicine are done through online monitoring system launched by the Council. The main objective is to ensure faithful adherence to the norms of the Regulations to further promote transparency and accountability in medical education. The Medical colleges or institutions are called upon to submit the requisite information through an online system that can be accessed through http://www.mciindia.org. It is required to submit the details of the students admitted PD (Broad & super-speciality) during the current academic year 2019-2020.

The online monitoring system will be open for entry from May 21, 2019, for Broad Speciality and August 21, 2019, for super-speciality postgraduate courses. An unique login-id will be provided to each college and through this all the Medical colleges must submit the details of the students by June 02, 2019 for Broad Speciality and September 02, 2019 for super-speciality courses. No further extension of time will be given under any circumstances. The hard copies of student admission received by MCI office will not be considered for the purpose of monitoring.

Non-receipt of this information within the stipulated time will reflect on the recommendation to be made by the Council to the Central Government for grant of permission or recognition to the Colleges or institutions for that academic year and/or subsequent years.
