Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi extend HESMA for another period of six months

The Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on April 26, 2019, has extended Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act 1974, (HESMA) for another period of six months against contractual employees (Drivers & Conductors) of Delhi Transport Corporation with effect from April 27, 2019 up to October 26, 2019.

Whereas the vide Home Department Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) Notification No. F.3/02/HESMA/2015/HP-II/941-49 dated October 27, 2018 HESMA was imposed against contractual employees (Drivers & Conductors) of Delhi Transport Corporation for a period of six months to secure uninterrupted Transport services necessary for the citizen of Delhi. The notification was valid up to April 26, 2019. 

Therefore, Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has decided to further extend HESMA for another period of six months till October 26, 2019 against contractual employees (Drivers & Conductors) of Delhi Transport Corporation.
