MoLE notifies services engaged in manufacturing or producing Nuclear Fuel and components, Heavy Water and Allied Chemicals and Atomic Energy to be a public utility service

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on April 24, 2019, has notified services engaged in the industrial establishments manufacturing or producing Nuclear Fuel and components, Heavy Water and Allied Chemicals and Atomic Energy, which is covered by item 28 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, which specifies the industries which may be declared to be public utility services, should be declared to be a Public Utility Service for the purposes of the said Act.

Therefore, MoLE has declared the said industry to be a Public Utility Service for a period of six months from the date of publication of the notification that is April 24, 2019.
