MoLE notifies services engaged in the processing or production or distribution of fuel gases to be a public utility service for further period of six months

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on April 24, 2019, has notified services of the industry engaged in the processing or production or distribution of fuel gases (coal gas, natural gas and the like) which is covered by item 29 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, which specifies the industries which may be declared to be public utility services, to be a public utility service for the purposes of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

MoLE has lastly declared the said industry to be public utility service for a period of six months with effect from July 31, 2018, vide Notification No. S.O. 3755(E), dated July 31, 2018.

MoLE declares the said industry engaged in the processing or production or distribution of fuel gases (coal gas, natural gas and the like) to be a public utility service for a further period of six months with effect from the date of publication of the notification that is April 24, 2019.
