Government of West Bengal exempts filling station during General Elections 2019

The State Government of West Bengal on March 27, 2019, has issued a Notification to declare that all classes of petrol and diesel pumps (filling station) will be exempted during General Elections 2019 and Bye-Elections. They are exempted from the hours of work in shops specified under Section 6(2) of the West Bengal Shops & Establishments Act, 1963, subject to the condition that any work done beyond eight and half hours a day or forty eight hours a week shall be regarded as overtime work for payment of overtime wages under Section 13 of the said Act.
