On January 22, 2019 Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in consultation with Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has revised the format for reporting of Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR). The revised MCR aims to bring uniformity in calculations of assets under management (AUM) and to eliminate the duplication in offerings across the mutual fund schemes.

SEBI Circulars dated July 31, 2000; October 6, 2017 and December 4, 2017 on “Categorization and rationalization of Mutual funds” prescribed the format for reporting of Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR). The same has been revised and is placed in Annexure-A of this circular. Asset Management Companies (AMCs) should submit the revised form of MCR to SEBI by the 3rd working day of each month. This new reporting form will come into effect from April 2019.
