Cyber Security Policy for Intermediaries registered with PFRDA

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development (PFRDA) Authority on January 07, 2019 has added following points in Cyber Security Policy for intermediaries registered with PFRDA.

To ensure the protection of information systems and networks and to adhere with the policies and procedures that need adoption and implementation encompassing the principles and provisions prescribed under the Information Technology Act 2000, PFRDA issued circular no- PFRDA/2017/31/CRA/5 dated October 04, 2017 on Cyber security policy for intermediaries registered with PFRDA.

There are many intermediaries which are registered with PFRDA are primarily regulated by other regulators and other regulators have also issued cyber security policies. In light of this, PFRDA added following points in Cyber security policy dated October 04, 2017:

a.       Intermediary will also submit a certificate as per Annexure A (page 2) on half yearly basis, declaring that they are following the cyber security measures as mentioned in the Cyber Security Policy and also as mandated by their respective regulators.

b.      Format of Annexure – A (page 2)

Subject to the addition, all other terms and conditions as contained in the circular no- PFRDA/2017/31/CRA/5 dated October 04, 2017 on Cyber security policy for intermediaries registered with PFRDA shall remain unchanged.
