Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Seventh Amendment Regulation, 2018 relating to amendment in existing standards of Ice/Ice Lollies

The draft regulations was published by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on May 15, 2018, in the Gazette of India, inviting objections and suggestions from persons likely to be affected within a period of 30 days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public.

Now, the FSSAI has made the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Seventh Amendment Regulation, 2018 to further amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011.

In the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011, in regulation 2.7, in sub-regulation 2.7.5, in clause 1,

(1)    In first paragraph, after the words “fruit juices, cocoa”, the following shall be inserted, namely:- “spices and condiments”

(2)    In second paragraph, after the words “nuts and salt”, the following shall be inserted, namely:- “spices and condiments”
