The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has issued a notification for the utilization of the spent sodium hypo Chlorite along with fresh/ spent caustic solution for manufacturing of sodium hypo chlorite.
The following procedure has been given for the grant of authorization for utilization of hazardous waste:
• An authorisation shall be given by the SPCB or CPCB.
• After the grant of authorisation, the checklist of the compliances shall be verified.
• The SPCB shall give the list of units given for the permission and it shall be uploaded on the website as well.
• The source and work zone standards shall be followed by the units.
• The solution shall be mounted in barrels.
• They should be stored in steel tanks.
• The solution shall not be handles manually
• The treated gas shall comply with the emission norms given by the government.
