Tripura Government issues guideline for re-opening of activities outside containment zone

The State Government of Tripura on October 01, 2020 has issued guidelines for re-opening of activities outside containment zone. However, lockdown measures will continue in containment zone till October 31, 2020.

The re-opening guidelines are as follows:

• In containment zone, only essential activities will be allowed. The movement of persons in and out of the zone will be restricted to supply of essential goods and services.

• Door step delivery of goods and services may be allowed in the containment zone.

• In the containment zone intensive contract tracing should be arranged. 

• All businesses/ commercial establishments will be allowed outside the containment zone. Shops must ensure social distancing. Shops having frontage of less than one metre will allow only one person at a time.

• Inter-state, inter-district and intra-district public and private transport will be allowed.

• All Government and Private offices can function with normal attendance. The entire premise of the office should be regularly sanitized.

• Cinema halls/theatres etc can operate with 50% strength from October 15, 2020. 

• Swimming pool, business parks can also open after October 15, 2020. 

• Social/political/sports academic functions and other large congregations shall remain suspended.

• No night curfew for from October 01, 2020.

• National directives for Covid-19 must be followed.

• Strict action will be taken on violation of these measures under section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other legal provision applicable.
