Highlights of Newsletter | Issue 01 of 2019

·         CBIC has published Central Goods and Services Tax (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2018 and also extended the due date of various Forms (FORM GST REG-26, FORM GSTR-3B, FORM GSTR - 1, FORM GSTR-3B, FORM GSTR-4, and FORM ITC-04).

·         SEBI has published:

a.       Securities and Exchange Board of India (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2018,

b.      Securities and Exchange Board of India (Custodian of Securities) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 and

c.       Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 

d.      Also made amendments in Securities and Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003     

·         FSSAI has issued Press Release regarding several of the key new food standards come into force from 1st January, 2019 and also extended the time line for compliance of Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) Second Amendment Regulations, 2018 up to April 01, 2019 or till further order, whichever is earlier. The FSSAI has also published a new regulations called the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulations, 2018.

·         The Ministry of Commerce has restricted the import of peas from January 01, 2019 to March 31, 2019.

·         Uttar Pradesh Government extends due date for submission of Annual Return under VAT for FY 2017-18.

·         The State Government of Punjab has extended the due date of e- filing of Annual Statement for the financial year 2017-18 in FORM VAT-20.

·         Tamil Nadu Government issues instruction regarding filing of Audit Report in Form-WW for the year 2017-18.

·         Rajasthan Government passes Deemed Assessment Scheme for the Assessment of the Year 2017-18.

·         The State Government of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha and Tripura have published Goods and Services Tax (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2018 under their respective State Laws.

·         The State Government of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and West Bengal have extended the due date of various FORMS (FORM GST REG-26, FORM GSTR-3B, FORM GSTR - 1, FORM GSTR-3B, FORM GSTR-4, FORM ITC-04) and also published Goods and Services Tax (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2018 in their respective State GST Acts.
