TRAI issues Corrigendum to the Draft Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulation, 2018

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), on May 29, 2018, had released a Draft Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulation, 2018, that is proposed to curb the problem of Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC).

The TRAI, vide corrigendum dated May 30, 2018, has issued changes in Draft Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulation, 2018. In Regulation 34 of the Draft Regulations the following changes have been made:

May be read as

Every Access Provider shall ensure that all devices registered on its network shall support all permissions required for the functioning of such Apps as prescribed in the Regulations 7(2) and Regulations 24(2)
