Tamil Nadu Government amends the Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules

Department of Labour & Employment, Tamil Nadu has issued amendment to the Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975. Vide this amendment-

1.    In rule 17-

(a) Sub-rule (2), the application for registration of an establishment shall be accompanied by a treasury receipt or online payment through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health

(b)    Sub-rule (3), shall be substituted which reads as- Every application referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be made through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health or personally delivered to the Registering Officer or sent to him by registered post.

2.     In rule 21,-

(a)    Sub-rule (3), shall be substituted which reads as- Every such application for licence shall be made through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health or personally delivered to the licensing officer or sent to him by registered post.

(b)     In sub-rule (5), every application for licence shall also be accompanied by a treasury receipt or online payment through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health.

3.       In rule 29, new sub-rule (2A) shall be inserted which reads as- Every application for renewal of licence shall be made through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health or personally delivered to the licensing officer or sent to him by registered post:
