Special Permits and Licences (Second Amendment) Rules, 2017

The Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that the following rules to amend the Special Permits and Licenses Rules, 1952, should be brought into force at once, and therefore, the rules should be made without previous publication. Now, therefore, the Government of Maharashtra has made the Special Permits and Licences (Second Amendment) Rules, 2017 to further amend the Special Permits and Licences Rules, 1952 as follows namely:

In Rule 5(3) of the Special Permits and Licences Rules, 1952, which states the provisions for Licence to sell mild liquor, to Clause (c1) the following proviso shall be inserted namely:

“ Provided that, if such National or State Highway passes through Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat or Cantonment Board area, such distance restrictions shall not apply ”.
