RSPCB directs industries, having residential colonies or townships, to get separate environmental clearance

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) vide an office order dated January 02, 2018, has directed all industries having residential colonies or townships for residential purpose of their employees, whether located within the same premises of the industrial unit or outside the premises of such unit, to shall obtain separate environmental clearance, as applicable under the Environmental Impact Assessment. Such industries are also required to obtain separate Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate for such township or colony, with respect to its plot area and built-up area, under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 from the Board.
