The Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that the following rules to amend the Bombay Foreign Liquor Rules, 1953, should be brought into force at once, and therefore, the rules should be made without previous publication. Now, therefore, the Government of Maharashtra has made the Maharashtra Country Liquor (Third Amendment) Rules, 2017 to further to amend the Maharashtra Country Liquor Rules, 1973 as follows namely:
In Rule 24(4) of the Maharashtra Country Liquor Rules, 1973, to Clause (c1) the following proviso shall be inserted namely:
“Provided that, if such National or State Highway passes through Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat or Cantonment Board area, such distance restrictions shall not apply ”.
