Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) vide circular dated June 05, 2018 has introduced new functionality ‘Mismatch Aadhaar number’ for correcting wrongly seeded Aadhaar number.
The new functionality will facilitate to remove incorrect Aadhaar number in the pensioners database populated against wrong Aadhaar number. If pensioner submits his DLC using PPO number which does not pertain to that pensioner and the same PPO is available in our data, in such cases the details of Name, Date of birth and Account No, will get mismatched with the available data.
In this situation, the task will be pushed to field offices through ‘Manual Confirmation of JeevanPramaan function. In wrongly approved mismatch cases, the Aadhaar no. will get seeded against wrong PPO no and the life certificate flag will get enabled, if the original pensioner submits his Digital life certificate, the application software will reject the DLC by throwing rejection status as ‘Already seeded Aadhaar number does not match, with currently received Aadhaar no.’
This function will facilitate to remove such incorrect Aadhaar numbers in the pensioner database populated against wrong PPO number and it will inactivate the life certificate flag also. A letter will also get generated against the original pensioner manual requesting him/her to submit the DLC once again.
