DGFT amends import policy on second hand goods imported for the purpose of repair/re-furbishing/re-conditioning or re-engineering

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) vide notification dated March 28, 2018 has issued amendment to the Para 2.03 of FTP 2015-2020 which relates to import policy on second hand goods imported for the purpose of repair/re-furbishing/re-conditioning or re-engineering.

The import of second hand goods imported for the purpose of repair/re-furbishing/re-conditioning or re-engineering will be free subject to condition that waste generated during the repair/re-furbishing/re-conditioning or re-engineering of imported items is treated as per domestic Laws/Rules/orders/Regulations/technical specifications/Environmental safety and Health norms& imported item is re-exported back as per custom notification.
