Department of Industries & Commerce, Haryana issues draft Logistics and Warehousing Policy

The Department of Industries & Commerce, Haryana has issued the draft Logistics and Warehousing Policy  The Draft Policy aims at providing direction in the development of logistics industry in Haryana over the next 5 years (2018-2023).The Draft Policy aims at creating atleast 5 Integrated Logistics Parks across Haryana and Logistics Park and Warehousing Complex in every district of Haryana. The draft Policy seeks to provide the following for ease of doing business –

·       Online clearances through Single window system with clearances within 45 days

·       A liaison officer (as part of Haryana Logistics Facilitation Cell) to serve as an interface between the investors and State Government and be responsible for handholding entrepreneurs by providing relevant information on business approvals, clearances required for starting and running business in the state.

·       Nodal officer at the district level for approval of projects with investments less than INR 10 crores.

Further, the Draft Policy has sought to provide incentives, subsidies and exemptions to units set up in the logistics sector (integrated logistics park and Logistics Park) in line with Haryana’s Enterprise Promotion Policy (EPP) 2015 on case to case basis.
