Central Ground Water Authority has extended the due date for obtaining No Objection Certificate for all existing ground water users

Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) has decided to extend the due date for submission of online applications through NOCAP for obtaining No Objection Certificate (NOC) from by all existing ground water users including industrial, infrastructure and mining projects till June 30, 2018.

It is directed that all users drawing ground water without a valid NOC to submit their applications by June 30, 2018. It has been clarified that any failure to submit applications before the date will render the concerned users responsible for non-compliance of the directions of CGWA and Hon’ble NGT.

It is further clarified that since all States / Union Territories are not being regulated by CGWA, but is being done through constituted State Ground Water Authority or government orders, ground water users located in such States/Union Territories have been directed to obtain NOC from the respective State/ Union Territories Ground Water Authorities.
